GTA Firewall Logging

The Remote Logging screen provides a means to configure how log information is stored and where it is sent. GNAT Box System Software uses GTAsyslog for recording logs remotely.

To enable Remote Logging on the GTA Firewall, confirm that the GTAsyslog server IP address is that of the computer running your logging facility. If not, enable Remote Logging by entering the appropriate numbers in the IPİaddress and Port number In a TCP/IP-based network such as the Internet, it is a number assigned to an application program running in the computer. The number is used to link the incoming data to the correct service. fields and saving. The resulting logs will be in WELF (WebTrends Enhanced Log Format).

Remote Logging Fields

Syslog server The IP address of a host A computer system that resides on a network and is capable of independently communicating with other systems on the network. A host is accessed by a user working at a remote location. Syslog server port number Port used to connect with the Syslog server IP address. This is port 514 by default.
